At
the time of the original Olympic Games a hundred days of peace were declared so
that the athletes could travel safely to and from the games, which were
considered to be not only a sporting event but also a religious event. During these hundred days (8th June - 28th October) we are praying each day for peace in our hearts, our
neighbourhoods, our nations and peace in the world. Here at the Friars, we
invite you to join us in praying for peace as part of the national prayer
for peace.
